SA: Call for witnesses to crash that killed teenager

Police are seeking witnesses to a road accident in which a 13-year-old pedestrian was hit
and killed by a car in Adelaide's north-west.

A spokesman says the girl was hit on Victoria Road, near the intersection of Strathfield
Terrace at Taperoo, just after 1 pm (CST).

She's the first person to die on South Australian roads over the Easter holiday period, and
is the 38th road accident victim for the year.

Her death comes as police launch their annual Easter road safety campaign.

Acting assistant commissioner JOHN DICKER says today is the most dangerous of the Easter
weekend -- with Easter Thursday always having the most accidents of the long weekend.
