Fed; PM reiterates plan to stay on as long as party desires

Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD has reiterated his intention to stay in the top job for
as long as his colleagues want.

His long-term leadership plans have been brought back under the spotlight after his
refusal to rule out mid-term retirement if he wins the federal election later this year.
